Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy of teaching empahsizes the following values

Relationally Responsive Teaching: Learning as an outcome of an interactive relationship between teacher and students, that adapts to changes in context.

Teacher Autonomy: A respect for the uniqueness of the learning experience to the teacher: their skills, experience, and pedagogical preferences.

Continuity of Learning: A student’s learning experience should be continuous across the different spaces in which learning is expected to take place.

Research-centred Curriculum: Curriculum design informed by research-based best-practice, with the goal of delivering a syllabus that covers up-to-date topic knowledge, while engaging students in the active process of knowledge creation.
